Is Truth Always Mightier than the Sword?

Battle for the Mind Armed with an overkill of the most potent and damning evidence one could imagine, the 9/11 Truth Movement has proven its case a thousand times over -- yet it has still not broken through to the mainstream majority. Must we present the facts more convincingly? Or introduce them more gradually and discreetly?
Years of effort have shown the problem is neither the message nor the messenger. It is the audience. It is a matter of predisposition.
There are a few people who understand almost instantly. Given the barest outline, they finish the story before you can: "OK, sure - controlled demolition, inside job - a war provocation to grab for the oil fields."
But the majority, especially in the USA, will resist with the most farfetched and threadbare rationalizations, with any fallacy of reasoning in the book, as if bereft of common sense -- then finally turn away, refusing to hear another word.
People will admit outright, "I don't want to go there." They will even abandon the cherished façade of open-mindedness in order to escape the truth. To be sure, 9/11 Truth is far more terrifying than the 9/11 Myth. People who have too much invested in the official world view can't deal with it.
It is as if we need to start much further back in their education, before the bare facts. People may need first to understand logic, the science of rhetoric and fallacies of thinking. Even before that, they need to understand how the human mind works.
The Manipulated Mind Remember Pavlov and his dogs? He actually rediscovered two kinds of conditioning, the repetitive and the traumatic. People in the USA can't grasp 9/11 largely because of repeated conditioning, that the US is always the good guy on the white horse, built up over many years.
Traumas are more powerful; they can make a person instantly and completely reverse their character and their convictions, as the mind desperately attempts to regain equilibrium. Their world view can change suddenly and paradoxically.
The hypnotic scenes of 9/11 were traumatic. People were shocked out of their apathy about the Middle East. In states of intense emotion, we are more suggestible. New ideas can be implanted that will remain long afterwards, in spite of evidence to the contrary. So even though the alleged hijackers were said to be Saudis, the shock of 9/11 could be used to mobilize for war on quite a different country, Iraq.
America entered the 21st century in a state of post-traumatic stress disorder.
Then all the lesser, ongoing terror alerts, false arrests of suspects, the hazing at airports, and more bombings blamed on Muslim terrorists. These are measures of repetitive conditioning, booster shots to maintain the message.
New World New Mind It's well known that people are skeptical to new ideas, but once they accept one, it is hard to get them to change it, even in the light of new evidence.
The trauma dramatists on TV got to them first, with the strongest impression. This is why we could not get through with the facts about 9/11.
People are not logical and open-minded. Short of a world-shaking event, human beings simply will not accept new information that doesn't fit their world view. In fact, turning your world view upside down is a traumatic event itself. People will go to great lengths to avoid that, and that reinforces the repetitive conditioning. "I won't go there."
The ancient Greeks summed it up best: Know thyself. Then you can know other things -- even 9/11. Never mind that the corporatists will do anything to distract us, to make us forget our true selves and sheepishly follow their program. See clearly. Be inner-directed.
