Increasingly, one realizes that JFK was the last US president to attempt to practice Lincoln's dictum of "government for the people." That made him so many powerful enemies who wanted him dead, that one wonders if they all pitched in to have the deed done -- much like the gang of conspirators in the murder of Julius Caesar.
